Amazing library. Great space for toddlers to play with extremely limited hours. I wish it was open more considering it’s just a room that’s unsupervised and as a mom i can keep my kids busy. Great programming, gorgeous place. Two hour parking free
My experience was with the friends bookstore only. There is a very large selection of books and DVD and audio books. Excellent! My only complaint is the ladies working were quite unwelcoming. They had my leave my purse at the desk before entering and were quite frank and proceeded to talk about political issues with another visiting person. I am happy with my purchase from the bookstore, but the experience with these ladies was a turnoff.
It’s a great place for kids. Cleaning and lighting is perfect for reading. We found our favorite books.
Can't believe someone has it in their heart to leave anything but a wonderful review for the facility. It is a gorgeous library, the staff are very responsive and routinely ask if you are in need of assistance, always clean, quiet and serene. A wonderful place to recuperate, explore and study. Endlessly grateful.
Nice library too many homeless people taking up seats and making noises for patrons who go there to study or be at peace. More needs to be done about this. Not just location or library is most of los angeles. Horrible!!!! They should be kept out you can't even feel safe at the library or bring your children.
It's fast becoming a homeless encampment. My kids used to go daily but we stopped after my daughter got a a bacterial infection from sitting on the filthy furniture. Also, it smells because I assume they seldom clean or disinfect the place. There's not a day that goes by that there's not a problem with the homeless arguing, listing to loud music, etc. We sympathize with the homeless but this situation is out of hand. A once good library is no more. We do not feel safe there (health or personal safety). What a shame!
Visiting this library is always a pleasure. The bright and airy interior, along with the cozy reading nooks, creates a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The impressive collection of not just books but also DVDs, audiobooks, and e-resources makes it a one-stop destination for entertainment and knowledge. The library's events and workshops are engaging and well-curated, providing opportunities for learning and community engagement. I couldn't ask for a better place to indulge in my love for reading.
I have been to this library many times and today, on "1/20/2024," just a little after 10:00am in Beverly Hills, California, in the United States of America, in where I think is the Tesla Universe, I was told there is a two bag limit to be in this library. I had "three bags" so, I put "one bag" in the other bag and the security guard said that was alright, but he them denied me to be in the library because of my backpack, which I usually keep on my back the whole time anyways, or on my seat with me or I place it on top of another bag if I take it off me, if it's with me. His "reasoning" or "explanation" was that the "bags" usually get spread out all over the place and take up a lot of space; that is not the case with me for the most part, espcially, here. This is what I have paid my tax dollars for? Tax dollars that have "In God we trust" on them? To got kicked out of the library for having a backpack and two bags that have not even bothered anyone while I have been at this library thus far to my understanding? I would like to mention I am also sick, I just spent about 21 hours in the hospital yesterday and am weary. It is written that goats go to hell! I only gave the library one star for reasonings mentioned herein. Other than that, I like this library quite well.
Matt 25:31- “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32“All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
34“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
41“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44“Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ 45 “Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Exodus 20:7 - Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Proverbs 22:22 - Don't steal from the poor, because they are poor. Don't oppress the needy in the gate.
Jeremiah 9:6 - Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit, they refuse to know me, declares the LORD.
Hebrews 10:30 - For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”
